Oscar was born in 1891. He was the son of James Burmood and Anna Allphin. He passed away in 1960.

FATHER DIES
Oscar R. Burmood, of near Huntsville, father of Mrs. LeRoy Kotter of Mt. Sterling, died December 28 in his home, after an illness of several months. Mr. Burmood was born in Huntsville townshp, July 24, 1891, served in the first World War and was a mmber of Huntsville Lodge A.F.&A.M. No. 465. In 1920 he was united in marriage to Miss Gladys Varner of Huntsville and to them were born three daughters, Ruth, wife of Ward lawler of Rushville, who passed away in 1949. Mrs. Ida mae Kotter of Mt. Sterling, and Allene, wife of Robert White of Augusta. He also leaves three brothers; two sisters and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon Dec. 30, in the Huntsville Methodist church, of which he was a member. Burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.

We find wod inadequate to express our deep appreciation for the innumerable kindnesses extended to Ray and to us during his hospital stay and after he rturned home; for the lovely words, kindness, cards, personal calls, food and the willingness of everyone to help in our loss. We are truly greatful for our relatives and friends.
