Ruth Burnett (Barnett, Burnet) was born on June 11, 1765, in Oxford, Massachusetts, to Henry Burnett, 25, and, Ruth Merrriam, 27. She married Richard Buckman (son of David Buckman and Naomi Norcut) on June 27, 1782, in Warwick, Massachusetts. They had seven children in 23 years. She died on February 7, 1829, in Claremont, New Hampshire, at the age of 63, and was buried there.
