Biography

Jefferson R. Burnett was the oldest of 23 children and the father of 7 children with his wife, Mary Lougenia Hensdale Burnett. Their children were as follows:

  1. Susan L. Burnett (1866-1874),
  2. Bennett Woodson Burnett (1863-1926),
  3. Mary Lougenia Burnett Willingham (1865-1951)[1]
  4. Caroline Burnett (1868-1890),
  5. Zoe Lorea Burnett Potter (1871-1900),
  6. Harriett Burnett Smith (1874-1895), and
  7. Joseph Manning Burnett (1878-1918).
