Biography
Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Bolton Burns (born in Ireland and Margaret McNeil (born 1769 in Chester Co., Pennsylvania, died 1848 in Clarion Co., PA).
Marriage
Elizabeth married Alexander "Alex" Downing during 1820 in Richland, Venango Co., PA. Records suggest they had 9 children:

Death
Elizabeth died died sometime in 1848 after Aug 21st. Per her gravestone inscription, "Aged 50 Yrs". [1]
Notes
When the West Union Cemetery in Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa was originally transcribed in the 1970's the following information was visible on the gravestone: "First to settle in Fox River Township in Davis Co., Iowa April 30, 1843. First to settle in Roscoe Township Davis Co., IA in 1837".
