Biography

Andrew Jackson Burns was born in 1790 in Wilkes, North Carolina, United States, son of William Burns (1757–1845) and Nancy Chandler (1761–1808).[1]

Andrew and Nancy Baker were married in 1822 in Clay County, Kentucky.[2] Nancy was born on 12 Jan 1803 in Cortland, Madison, Kentucky, USA. She was the daughter of Robert Julius Baker and Elizabeth (Hammond) Baker.

In the 1850 census Andrew was in Clay, Kentucky. He was a farmer with either $2,000 [ or $7,000] worth of real estate. His wife had passed the previous year. His son Granville lives next door with his family.[3]

Andrew passed away on 17 May 1856 in Clay, Kentucky, United States, aged 66. He was buried in Andrew Burns Cemetery, Oneida, Clay County, Kentucky.[1]
