Death of Mrs Mary Williams.
The pale reaper, Death, beckoned to mankind's long home another old resident in the person of Mrs Mary Williams, of South Singleton, last Thursday morning, after an illness of a somewhat protracted character. The deceased, who was a native of Lanarkshire, Scotland, came to this colony with her parents when a girl 15 years of ago. For a short time she lived in the Tamworth district after arrival, but afterwards removed to Singleton, where she has lived ever since. She was 53 years of age, and leaves a family of 11 children, most of whom are grown up. Mrs Williams was possessed of many good qualities as a friend and neighbor, and in her own home amongst her children always shed that mild and cheerful light which promotes happiness and peace.[4]
