Biography

Harriet was born in 1896. She was the daughter of Dominick Burns and Harriett Harrison. She passed away in 1987.

BURNS, Harriet H. Burns, 90, of West Hartford, died Monday (May 4, 1987) at St. Mary Home, West Hartford. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Dominick F. and Harriet (Harrison) Burns, and had lived in West Hartford for 42 years.

She was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and the College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, N.Y. She was a member of the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre, the St. Peter Claver Women's Club and St. Francis Hospital Women's Auxiliary; three nephews, Richard E. Dunne Jr. of West Hartford, Dominick J. Dunne of New York, N.Y., and John G. Dunne of Los Angeles, Calif.; several grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy B. Dunne, a niece, Harriet D. Hutchinson, and a nephew, Stephen B. Dunne.

Funeral will be Thursday, 9:30 a.m., from the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, with a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Peter Claver Church, West Hartford.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.

Friends may call at the funeral home today, 2 - 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, 114 Woodland St., Hartford 06105.
