Biography
Ruth Burnside, daughter of Robert Burnsides and Jane Knox was born about 1800[1]
Ruth married 1st Feb 18 1823 Madison Co KY to John Courtney. [2]
Ruth appears on the 1830 census as head of house. John died before 1830, (probably about 1828), in Clay Co Missouri. "leaving a wife and 3 daughters." Only one child has been identified, namely, Rebecca A., who married George W. Hall.
Ruth married 2nd on Mar 17 1844 to John R. Halll
(1795 - 1877) and is included on the 1850 Census in John's household.[3]
Ruth died Dec 22 1854 in Missouri.[4]
