Biography

Mary Burr and her twin Elizabeth were born in Fairfield, Connecticut, the daughters of Captain John and Katherine (Wakeman) Burr, on 7 Apr 1732. She married Ebenezer Bartram, Jr on 1 November 1759.

Mary died 15 Mar 1806 and is buried in Fairhaven, Connecticut.

Findagrave: tombstone of Mrs. Mary Bartram, widow of Capt. Ebenezer Bartram, died 15 Mar 1806 in her 75th year. Her calculated birth year would be 1730 or 1731.

Todd: Record #175 shows Martha Burr is on page 160 of the version found in the Internet Archive (prob. 1st Editition). Record #176 shows Mary Burr, apparently the twin of Martha, both born 13 June 1740 to Nathaniel and Martha (Silliman) Burr. Record #161 shows Mary Burr, born 7 Apr 1732 to John and Catherine (Wakeman) Burr.

Barbour Collection: Ebenezer Batram, Jr., the son of Ebenezer, married Mary Burr, daughter of Captain John Burr, on 1 Nov 1759. Mary, twin with Elizabeth, daughter of John and Katherine, born 7 Apr 1732. John Burr, Jr. married Katherine Wakeman 18 Oct 1722


Children: The Barbour Collection lists a Job, Jr., son of Ebenezer, Jr. and Mary Bartram, born 10 May 1767, but no other offspring. Findagrave lists two other sons, Joseph and Thomas, supported by tombstone inscriptions (I can't read them from photos)
