Biography

Thomas was born in Horsham Sussex in 1832. He is the son of Jacob Burrage and Sarah Welch. Thomas was christened on 16 September 1832.

During his life, Thomas worked variously as a shepherd, bricklayers labourer and general labourer.

Thomas married twice, first on 6 August 1854 to Eliza Christmas, with whom he had his 9 children. Eliza passed away in 1881, and then in 1890, he married Elizabeth Mitchell.

Thomas passed away in 1915 in Horsham, Sussex.
