Biography

Ann was born in Horsham Sussex in 1845. She is the daughter of John Burrage and Emily Penfold. Ann was christened in Horsham on 17 May 1845.

At the time of the 1861 Census, Ann at age 16 was residing, along with her sister Ellen, in the Bunt household in Greenwich, Kent. Both of the girls were servants there.

On 12 July 1970, in West Brompton Middlesex, Ann married Walter Frederick Riley, a baker. The couple would become the parents to 5 children who were born between 1871 and 1881.

Ann was widowed in 1898 and in 1911, she was residing in Chadwell Heath, Essex with her daughter Emma and her family.

Ann passed away in 1914 (the death was registered in West Ham, Essex) at about age 69.
