Biography

Doctor Burrell is a part of US Black heritage.

Doctor was born in 1896 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He was the son of William Burrell and Henrietta Roane. He was raised in Westmoreland, but by 1917 was living and working in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. By 1920 he had married Ethel McKenney and returned to Westmoreland, Virginia where they lived with his parents and their daughter. Doctor was working in a saw mill in 1920. He and Ethel divorced prior to 1935, when he passed away in Westmoreland.
