Jane was born about 1797. She was the daughter of Thomas Burrus and Elizabeth Stephens.
She married Jacob Brockman on December 21st 1815 in Clark County, Kentucky. They had at least the following children:

- Asa
- Elizabeth
- Jacob
She married Pleasant Matthews after the death of her first husband.
She passed away about 1880.
