Biography

Stratton was the son of William Burton and Ann Stratton. He was born in 1693 [1]on the Delmarva peninsula, perhaps in Accomack, Virginia.[2]

Stratton's brother John left Stratton a bequest in his 1708/09 will. Jacob Burton made a will leaving bequests to Stratton and his other brothers in 1716.

15 February 1728-29, John Walthom of the Indian River in Sussex County [Delaware] Yeoman appointed his trusty friend Stratton Burton to act on his behalf in selling property in Accomack County, Virginia[3]
