Robert was the son of John Burton and Rachel Hutchins.
He married Mary Noell (b. abt 1665). She was the daughter of John Noell and Lydia Perkins. They had at least one son named Hutchins (F.A.G. #77346962) who married Susanna Allen.[1]"""Note:"""DOB on Find a Grave given as 1660 which conflicts with estimated date of marriage.
Robert Burton was often mentioned in Henrico records, and during his life inherited and amassed a considerable estate. He was perhaps the most successful Burton of his generation. He was referred to in contemporary records as "Mr." which had social significance in that era. He held 1600 acres of land in 1701, and he is known to have held at least 2 public offices, that of Constable, and Road Surveyor. The Will of Robert Burton, son of John "of Longfield" Burton, Immigrant Ancestor, cannot be found, but Robert Burton and his wife, Mary Nowell, are known to have been the parents of at least 5 Children. On other data found, Robert is said to have married Mary Hutchins, daughter of Noel Hutchins!?? Robert has 1300 acres in 1704. Robert was burried on his own plantation, "Longfield." [2]

The biography says he is buried at the Longfield Plantation - Burton Family Cemetery, Henrico County, Virginia, and points to a Find a Grave memorial with the same information.
But he is categorized in the Jamestown Original Burial Ground. His name does not appear on the plaque at Jamestown cemetery listing names of those known to be buried. There.
I propose to remove the category Jamestown Original Burial Ground unless a reliable source can be provided. I will proceed on Jan 22 if it hasn't already been done, unless there is an objection by then.
