Biography
Maria Burton first married Edward Curwen. After Edward died in 1848, she married Hopkins. Maria passed away in 1883.[1]
On the 25 th ult at Hawkshead, Edward Curwen, Esq. youngest son of J. C. Curwen, Esq. M. P. to Miss Burton, of Low Graithwaite Hall, [2][3]
On the 19th inst. at All Saints' Church, Chorlton-on-Medlock, by the Rev. Dr. Burton, Joseph, second son of Samuel Hopkins, Esq. Commissary General at Messina, to Maria, relict of the late Mr Edward Curwen, Esq. of Belle Grange, Windermere. [4]
