Thomas Burgon, supposed son of Thomas Burton and Miss Reynolds, was born about 1598 in England. His date and location of death (DOD) is unconfirmed and the DOD of his suggested son, Thomas Burton (c 1628-1685), is often attributed to him.

Thomas Burton is said to have married Margaret Simonds.

Research Notes

There is no evidence this Thomas Burton was ever in Virginia. The Thomas Burton who is on record as immigrating to Virginia is Thomas Burton (c 1628-1685), sometimes claimed as the son of this Thomas Burton. There is no documentation to support that relationship.
