Beckwith (Subiaco).

OBITUARY. GERALDTON PIONEER PASSES. Death of Mrs. Emily Bennett. News has been received from Geraldton of the passing of Mrs. Emily Bennett, aged 77. The lady enjoyed robust health until recently, but was prostrated over the recent death of Mr. J. T. Beckwith, of Subiaco (her son-in-law), and suffered a sudden illness from which she did not rally. The deceased lady and her brother, Mr. Richard Burton, were numbered among the longest residents of Geraldton, Their parents landed at Fremantle from their native Somerset by the City of Bristol in 1857, and a few months later proceeded, to Geraldton. Mrs. Bennett was a kindly soul and extremely popular.
