Strike it Rich. — As will be seen by our marriage notices in this week's issue, our young friend, Mr. Olney Burwell has struck a bonanza, has made a fortune, as it were. He is doubly blessed, for he not only has his arms full of silver, but it is the clear metal without any admixture of dross whatever. A good wife is the best boon any man ever gets in this life, and Miss May Silver whom Mr. Burwell married, is one of the finest young ladies in all this region of country. We extend to them both our hearty congratulations, and wish them much happiness.
Our population is increasing very rapidly of late, considering the season ol the year. There is a baby at the house of Parsons, the photographer, one at the home of Olney Burwell, and also one at the house of Phillip Kellerman.
The drawing of the $100 music box came off at the Midland hotel Christmas day at 3 o'clock. Olney Burwell, a boiler maker, the holder of ticket No. 23, was the lucky man. The first number out of the sack drew the prize, a circumstance that would probably not happen again in a thousand times.
