Biography
Murray was born in 1931. He was the second child and only son of Frances Burwell and Eunice Williams.
He grew up on his parents farm on Lake Road, Puketurua in the farming district of Waikato in New Zealand. He went to Puketurua Primary School and then boarded in Putaruru during the week so he could attend High School. He would spend weekends back on the farm with his parents and five sisters.
He married Glenys Mae Viereck on 18 December 1954 in Hamilton.
They had four children.
When his father Frank passed away in 1964, Murray took over the running of the family farm.
He passed away in 1990 at the age of 59 after suffering a heart attack. He was cremated on 15 October 1990 at Hamilton Park Cemetery[1].
