Zachariah was born about 1801. He passed away in 1864. His will is dated 5 April 1864 in Johnson County, Illinois.

The Last Will and Testament of Zachariah Busby, Deceased
I, Zachariah Busby in the county of Johnson and state of Illinois do hereby make and declair this my last will and testament, in maner and form following, to wit: First, it is my will that my furnel expences and all my just debts be fully paid. Second, after the payment of such furnel expences and debts, I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Busby the farm on which we now reside, situated in said county, and known and described as the North West quarter of the North West quarter of Section No. 26, and the North East quarter of the North East quarter of Section No. 27 in Township No. 11 S., R. 26, Johnson County Illinois, 80 acres during her widowhood, one wagon, one yoke of worke cattle, one yelow horse, one bay mare, one milch cow and four yearlinges by me now owned and kept there, and also 3 head of sheep 3 beds and 3 bedsteads, all house hold and kitched furniture and all the farming tools during her widowhood after having disposed of a enfficient amount to pay and discharge the expenses and debts aforesaid,and that at her death or marriage allthe real estate to wit I devise and bequeaath unto my son William R. Busby North West quarter of the North quarter of Section No. 26 forty acres, and also I devise and bequeath to my son John M. Busby North East quarter of North quarter of Sec. No. 27 in Township No. 11 S. of R. 2 East 40 acres Johnson County Illinois to their heirs forever assigns. I devise to my son Zachariah Busby one sorrel colt one sadale and bridle Two hundred dollars in good money. 5th I devise unto daughter Sarah Jane Busby one bead, one beadstead and beading my and one side saddle. 6th I devise unto my daughter Louisa Shewboles one dollar. 7th I devise unto my son Martin V. Busby one dollar. 8th I devise unto my son David C. Busby one dollar. And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my said son M. V. Busby executive of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me made, and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I said Zachariah Busby have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of A D 1864.
