This is the same area Needham Busby lived. He was born in N.C. Johnson Co.1754, but moved as a young man to S.C.. I haven't been able to establish his whole family yet but Micajah and Nathaniel were two sons. Micajah moved to TN by 1812 where he served in the militia Davidson Co. TN. Robert Busby was there also. As to the spelling I have found so many different spellings used in the same family I investigate all spellings. Micajah was called Cager and his son Milack was called Miles. This line moved to Missouri then Arkansas and part of the family went to Mississippi. Later some moved to Oklahoma and Texas.
He lived in Orangeburg District Fairfield Co., SC until after the war of 1812. Census of 1800 shows him as Micajah Busbie, and 1810 as Micajah Busby. He migrated with his sons and their families (8 males and 6 females in all) to Dickson County TN (NW of Nashville) Micajah Busby Sr., with his family of 3 females and one young son had moved to Henderson County, TN by 1830 as shown in the 1830 census. Along with him went his grown sons and their families,
Miles Busby, three sons and wife;
Sion Busby, three sons, wife and two daughters;
Micajah Busby Jr., wife and one daughter.
They were located in Henderson County at a thriving center known as Jacks Creek, which lies 9 miles east of the town of Henderson and is now in Chester County, TN.
