Susan Busby Thomas died when her only child, daughter Jessie was three years old. Jessie went on to become the first female physician and surgeon in Kansas.[1]
She was born in Indiana to Thomas and Isabella (GWINN) BUSBY.
Susan married Stephen G. Thomas in 1861. They had one child Jessie born 31 Dec 1863. Jessie became a Medical Doctor in the state of Kansas.
