Ruth Bush was born on October 8, 1731 (from her tombstone).^[1] She was a daughter of Justus Bush^[2] and his wife (here profiled as Ann Hayes^{[citation needed]} See profile for Justus Bush, Research Notes).

Ruth's place of birth is assumed to have been at Greenwich, Fairfield County, Colony of Connecticut (without evidence).^{[citation needed]}

Marriage

Ruth married on 1 January 1753 to Dr. Amos Mead, in a ceremony officiated by Rev. Todd.^[2]

Church

On 11 November 1787, Ruth, wife of Amos Mead and daughter of Justus Bush, was admitted as a new member to the Second Congregational Church.^[4]

Death and Legacy

Ruth died March 5, 1791 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery.^[1]
