Ruth Bush was born on October 8, 1731 (from her tombstone).[1] She was a daughter of Justus Bush[2] and his wife (here profiled as Ann Hayes[citation needed] See profile for Justus Bush, Research Notes).
Ruth's place of birth is assumed to have been at Greenwich, Fairfield County, Colony of Connecticut (without evidence).[citation needed]
Ruth married on 1 January 1753 to Dr. Amos Mead, in a ceremony officiated by Rev. Todd.[2]
Children of Ruth and Amos Mead:[3]
Note: another son, Abner Mead, born ca 1747, is sometimes reported as a son of Dr. Amos Mead (see profile for Dr. Amos Mead), but without proof.
On 11 November 1787, Ruth, wife of Amos Mead and daughter of Justus Bush, was admitted as a new member to the Second Congregational Church.[4]
Ruth died March 5, 1791 and was buried at the Second Congregational Church Cemetery.[1]
