Biography

Jesse was born in 1919 in Putnam County, Tennessee. His parents were Luther Bush and Lou Frances Robinson. He was inducted into the U.S. Army 16 May 1941 at Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Destination- European Theater, Technician 5th Grade, Company B, 8th Medical Battalion, Ambulance Driver in Combat. Battles - Normandy, Rhineland, Northern France, Central Europe. Decorations and Citations - American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. Service- 4 yrs 4 mo 1day. Honorable Discharge 16 Sept 1945, Fort McPherson, GA. Married 25 Sept 1945. He passed away in Smith County, Tennessee in 1997. ^[1]
