Biography

William was born 3 Jul 1853 at Williamson County, Illinois. Illinois Death and Stillbirths Index gives his mother's name as Susan Chew and his spouse name as Susan Bush. This must be an error as his family's timeline clearly has his mother set as Nancy A. Trull. The only record of a Susan Chew marrying a William Bush is this William Bush marrying Susan R G Chew.[1][2]

William was living with his parents and three siblings at Williamson County, Illinois during the 1860 census.[3] William was living with his parents and six siblings at Williamson County, Illinois during the 1870 census.[4] William was living with wife Susan and a son at Carbondale, Jackson, Illinois during the 1880 census.[5] William was living with Susan and four children (and several other people) at Western, Williamson, Illinois during the 1900 census.[6] William was living with Susan, his son Charlie, and Frances Williams at Carterville, Williamson, Illinois during the 1910 census.[7] William was living with Susan and Cecil Bradshaw at Carterville, Williamson, Illinois during the 1920 census.[8]

Note: The Illinois County Marriage Records (as of 22 Aug 2018) has incorrectly listed William's mother as Nancy A Chew.[9]

William died 3 Jul 1853 and is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Carterville, Williamson, Illinois.[10]
