"She [Margaret Bush] died . . . . leaving the following children-- Peter Bush, Susannah Simpson, Henry Bush, Jacob Bush, John Bush, George Bush, ELIZABETH STUMP, Margaret Stump, Barbary Fisher. Michael Bush another son, died prior to his mother, leaving widow Mary and son Adam." [1]
Elizabeth Bush was born about 1790 [4] a daughter of Jacob [2] and Margaret Swan Bush [1]. Elizabeth Bush married Michael Stump in 1810 [2]. In 1850 Michael and Elizabeth were living in District 17, Gilmer County, Virginia (now WV) with children Archibald, Martin, Alfred and Elliot [3]; at that time Elizabeth's sister, Barbara Fisher, was living with her husband George in Lewis County, Virginia (now WV) [3]. Elizabeth Stump died on the 2nd of May 1860 at age 70 [4]; on the 1860 Census dated July 13 Elizabeth's sister, Barbara Fisher, is living near Weston, Lewis County, Virginia (now WV) with her husband George and granddaughter, Martha A. Fisher. Michael and Elizabeth (Bush) Stump are buried in the Michael Stump Cemetery at Stumptown, Gilmer, West Virginia [4].
