Martin E. Buss BUSS, Martin E. - Age 52, passed away Tuesday evening, February 10, 1998 near his home in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Martin was born on February 20, 1945 in Belle Glade, Florida, where he grew up and graduated from Belle Glade High in 1963. He went on to attend Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, where he graduated with a B.A. In 1967. In 1970, Martin earned hew law degree and graduated with honors from Willamette Law School in Salem, Oregon. In that same year he married his wife, Judy in Portland, Oregon on June 9, 1970. Martin was co-owner with his friend Chet Suiter, now of Anchorage, Alaska, of Suiter's Building Supply, in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, from 1970 to 1974. He was the office manager at Lone Star Industries from 1974 to 1982. Since 1982 Martin has worked for The Berry Patch. He served for two years in the U.S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1977. Martin had a passion for reading and enjoyed following baseball and football. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with and playing with his two grandchildren, Misha and Michael who were the pride of joy of his life. Martin is survived by his wife, Judy Buss of Myrtle Creek; his two daughters, Julie Seaburg of Boise, Idaho and Yvette Rhodes and her husband, Mike of Myrtle Creek; his mother, Virginia Buss of Belle Glade, Florida; one sister, Phyllis Flannery and her husband, Kelly of Dickson Tennessee; one brother, Warren Buss of Singer Island, Florida; two grandchildren, Misha Burdge, 5, and Michael Rhodes, 22 months, both of Myrtle Creek; two nieces, Claire Benzing and her husband, David of Nashville, Tennessee and Brittney Buss, 9, of West Palm Beach and one grandnephew, Mathew Benzing, 7 months, of Nashville Tennessee. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Myrtle Creek. Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, Myrtle Creek, Oregon.
