Biography

In 1395, an Inquisition took place at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire which determined it would be no imposition to the King (Richard II) to allow Richard Bushell to grant the Abbey of Winchcombe some income from lands he controlled to the maintenance of the Abbey. [1]

Richard Bussell (Bushell) of Drymerston, [2] also known as Dry Marston, Marston Sicca or Long Marston and his wife Margaret Fowkes sold land to Robert Burdet of Kingsmill, Gloucestershire in the second year of the reign of Henry IV. [3] This means that the transaction took place between Sep 1400 and April 1401. [4]
