Biography

Joseph Edward Beckett Bussey was born in Mackay in 1888, and was the son of Thomas Henry Bussey and his wife Sarah Hoole. ^[1]

Joseph worked as a plumber, and for many years, he lived at Hughenden in Queensland. ^[2] He was interested in municipal matters, and served as an Alderman in the Hughenden Town Council.

In 1916, Joseph married married Clara Ann McCall, (1891- 1972). ^[3]

In 1932, Joseph and Clara and their family moved to Brisbane to live. Two functions were held at Hughenden to farewell the family. ^[4]

Joseph's wife Ms Clara Bussey died in 1972 in Brisbane. ^[5]

Joseph Bussey died in 1973 in Brisbane. ^[6] He was buried at Hemmant Cemetery in Brisbane, beside his wife, and his brother, George Bussey. ^{[7] [8]}
