Hezekiah married Amie Unknown.
Hezekiah Bussey is acknowledged by the DAR for patriotic service during the American Revolution in Georgia. He received a Land Grant as a refugee as per the Land Grant Act 20 August 1781. Children listed in DAR Record:
Hezekiah was born in 1750. He passed away in 1796.
Hezekiah Bussey Sr. was born about 1750 in Calvert, Province of Maryland.
Hezekiah married Amie Harriet Sullivan (~1751 - 1802) Their children were:
Hezekiah married Enslaved Bussey (~1750 - ) Their daughter was Enslaved-Ancestor Bussey (<1776 - ).
In 1790, Hezekiah was living in Edgefield, South Carolina[2]
Hezekiah died on 2 Mar 1796 in Lincolnton, Lincoln, Georgia, United States aged ~45.
Thomas Hendley (Henley) Bussey Bible" has Amey Sullivan as the wife of Hezekiah Bussey, but it has no date of marriage. (Lylla Bussey, Thomas Henley Bussey's daughter, apparently completed the Family Record page of what is known as the "Thomas Hendley (Henley) Bussey Bible." The citation that I have for this is DAR 169 (626), GA Archives. Posted to the Bussey Newslist in May 1999 by Franklin Ingram [3]
'"The Bussey Family Genealogy," 1979, Lynn Bussey Guittard has Amy Flemming as the wife of Hezekiah Bussey and the date of the marriage as ca. 1768-70.
Amy (Harry) Bussey is believed to be the d/o Rev. Benjamin Harry, a Baptist minister. He was at Stephens Creek Church near Edgefield S.C. and Horns Creek Church in 1794-1796. Rev. Charles Bussey, Hezekiah's father, preached at these churches during these years (South Carolina Baptists, by Townsend) The Harry and Bussey families came to Edgefield Co, SC from Maryland at about the same time. Harrry family names such as David and Nathan now begin to occur in the Bussey line but Benjamin and Amy are used only in the Hezekiah Bussey branch of Charles Bussey's descendants." [4]
In letter dated May 1999, Leon writes: I have no definitive answer but will work on it. I needed to make clear that I am Lylla Bussey's nephew. She died last year at 94 and I have all of her papers, some in reasonable shape and some not. In a quick glance I see references to Hezikiahs wife in different places as Sullivan, Harry and ------. I am not sure of her final decision if any, but I will try to learn. I did see one reference stating "she owned land as Amy Sullivan" possibly attributed to Maude McClure Kelly but I have as yet not found that documented in land records in Lylla Busseys notes. I have one neatly typewritten document dated 26 Oct 1988 with an official looking number BSSHZ002.02 which among many other things shows: "Hezikiah Bussey was married c1768-70 to Amy (Amie,Amey} (thought Harry)" "Hezikiah Bussey and Amy Harry had 10 children" [5]

1779 Revolutionary War Hezekiah Bussey is listed Georgia Roster of the Revolution page 378 [7]
Many people are listing Hezekiah Bussey as a Colonel in the military based on his headstone. Noted that Col is shown under his name on the headstone, but that title belongs to the unit commander Col Elijah Clark and not Hezekiah Bussey.
There is a Col Hezekiah Bussey, but it's Hezekiah Bussey Jr was in Company K, 27th Georgia Infantry, Conflict Period: Civil War (Confederate), Served for: Confederate States, Year:1864. Based on this information this can not be Hezekiah Bussey 1750-1796, because his death was 2 Mar 1796, and couldn't be the same Hezekiah Bussey alive in 1864.[8]
Hezekiah Bussey is listed in: Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest - The Kettle Creek Battle Survey Appendix II, Kettle Creek Roster Page 223. [9]
Hezekiah is also listed by Willinghamm in J.H. Standard's "The Battle of Kettle Creek" as fighting with the Wilkes Dragoons against the British on Feb 14, 1779 at that battle.

1796 Lincoln was cut from Wilkes County in 1796 and named after General Benjamin Lincoln of Massachusetts, who assisted Georgia during the Revolution, and in its faraway Court House at Lincolnton, are found to be many items concerning the early settlers of Wilkes.
In the old brick Court House the records are better preserved than in many of the up-to-date fire-proof buildings, where they are handled oftener and with less care. About half a dozen of the oldest books are kept in a safe while the others are on shelves in the office.
The deeds are intact from 1796 to 1812, then two books “G” and “J” are missing. All are recorded in a Duplex Index. The old wills are in three books, from 1796 to 1869, each having a separate index and the writing is very good. The first book of marriage records, 1806 to 1829, is alphabetical as to names of the men, and later ones are indexed.
Index to First Book of Wills and Estates 1796 to 1805.

I see one of my Busseys is your Bussey-53. I'm new to Wikitree, so still making my way around trying to figure out how to do things. I'm trying to find and view your Tree so I can see what Busseys you have. And also want to add the one you have as 53, rather than having a separate entry for same person. I got to your PACE line... and that may be where your Busssey comes in. I know one of my Bussey cousin ancestors marr a Pace. But I dont see your Tree, or how to look up a Name in your tree. Can you advise? Thanks very much! COUSIN TINA KEENE PEDDIE EMAIL: [email address removed]
