Sir George Buswell, 1st and last Bt. was born 16 May 1625/6. [1]
He was the son of George Buswell and Elizabeth Kynnesman. He married Catherine Enyon, daughter of Sir James Enyon, 1st Bt. and Jane Newton on 27 Dec 1656/7 in the All Saints Church in Northampton, England.[2]
He died on 6 March 1667/8 at the age of 41 years, 9 months and 18 days and was buried in Clipston.[1][3], without surviving issue. He was buried at Clipston, Northamptonshire, England.
His will (dated 18 March 1667) was proven (by probate) in 1668, wherein he founded a free school and an almshouse at Clipston, Northamptonshire, England.[4]
He was created 1st Baronet Buswell, of Clipston, co. Northampton on 7 July 1660 and held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire from 1662-63.[1][5]
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.[1]
