Biography

Lucy Butler Daughter of Robert Butler and Margaret his wife. Borne the 6th day of February 1762.[1]

Lucy's birthdate and those of her husband and children come from Arthur Brown Jr.'s application for widow's benefits on Lucy Butler Brown, deceased, which includes pages "from his Father's original Family record" (pp. 8-9). In the application, Arthur Jr. also named Arthur and Lucy Brown's surviving children and the daughter's spouses (p. 4). These pages have been uploaded.

Children of Arthur and Lucy Brown (information on the "surviving heirs of the said Arthur and Lucy Brown" come from the above-referenced Revolutionary War pension application):

Butler-23754 and Butler-10896 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth, death and spouse information.
I've eliminated the clutter under the Bio and Source headings of my Lucy Butler and Arthur Brown profiles, preparatory to approving the merge.

Since your profiles were created earlier, mine will be merged into yours and if I'm understanding the process correctly, you will be the Profile Manager. Please be sure that Arthur and Lucy's daughter Nancy (Brown-122263) - who appears in my profiles but not yours - doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Now let's see if I can manage the merge correctly!
