Joshua Butler, the son of Joshua Butler and Grace Page, is believed to be one of Joshua's two children who were born, according to his will, in Stafford County, Virginia prior 1708/1709. 32,49,51 He was named in his father's will, which had been probated in King George County, Virginia on 3 September 1725, and was to receive one heifer, two years old. 32 Although Joshua was most likely married in Virginia, the name of his wife is not known. 31
Joshua and his mother, Grace (Page) Butler Ripley, were residing in Hamilton Parish in Prince William County, Virginia on 28 July 1735 when they jointly sold the 283 acre parcel of land acquired by Joshua Butler, Sr. and Grace in Richmond County, Virginia on 29 July 1715. 51,55 This property was sold to Mr. Thomas Turner of Hanover Parish in King George, County, Virginia for 2000 pounds of tobacco. 55
Joshua Butler may have died in Fauquier County, Virginia.
