He married Sarah Elkington on 17 Mar 1814 in Saint Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey, London, England.[2]
On 6 June 1841, the night of the English Census, Charles is recorded[3] as living in Berkshire with his wife (Sarah) and 3 of his 4 daughters (Elizabeth (20-24), Maria (15-19), and Louisa (5)).
He passed away at the age of 75 in London Street, Reading, Berkshire in 1850. He is buried at St. Giles.[1]
