Mary (Butler) Gibbons was born in Buckinghamshire, England.

Mary Ann Butler was born in 1858. Her parents were George Butler and Mary Ann Godman. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1861 she was living with her parents and sister in Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire, where her father was a laborer. ^[3] In 1881 she was living with her mother and siblings, working as a dressmaker. ^[4]

Mary Ann married Henry Gibbons 28 Oct 1883 in Farnham-Royal, Buckinghamshire, England. ^{[5] [6]}
