OBITUARY (1915, August 27). Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW : 1888 - 1961), p. 4. Retrieved March 3, 2021, from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article85860312 OBITUARY. Michael Joseph Butler, a well-known identity of Kurrajong, died last week. With his wife, the late Mr. Butler was in Windsor on the day preceding his death. He trans-acted business at several places in town and returned home apparently in his usual good health. He retired to bed that night, apparently well. His wife rose to get the breakfast, and when she had a cup of tea ready went to call her husband, and was horrified to find him dead. The late Michael Butler lived for many years at Comleroy Road where he had a good orchard property, now owned by Mr. T. W. McMahon. His first wife died many years ago leaving a family. Some few years ago the deceased married again, but there are no children of the marriage. The issue of the first marriage are: Florence (Mrs. E. F. Powell, of Johnston-st., Annandale); William, who resides with Mr. Powell; Arthur (Grose Vale); Mary (Mrs. Joseph Regan, Hurstville); Norbert (Grose Vale); and Lillian, who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Clarrie Smith at North Sydney. The late Michael Butler was a man of genial disposition, and had many friends in the Hawkesbury district who were very sorry to hear of his sad and sudden end. The remains were interred in the R.C. cemetery, Windsor, on Saturday last, when Rev. Father McDonnell conducted the burial service, while Mr. Chandler carried out the duties of undertaker.
