Keziah Butler was born on July 8, 1708, in Edgartown, Massachusetts. She married Jacobus "Jacob" King in 1726. They had three children during their marriage. She died in October 1768 in her hometown at the age of 60.

Keziah King, on a fleet horse with a young son behind her, warned Sumpter that Tarleton was only two miles away.[1]
