Biography
Betsey was a daughter of Valentine Butler of Hinsdale, New Hampshire. She married Harry Wellman in 1811; and their children were Alonzo born in 1812, George born in 1816, Lockhart born in 1820, Luke who died young, Evelina M. born in 1824, Lucinda who died young, a second Lucinda J. born in 1829, and Sewall B. born in 1832.
