Biography

Anastatia was born in 1869 in Ballykeoghan, County Kilkenny, and baptized on 12 Jul 1869 at the Church of Kilmacow. Thomas Walsh, son of Thomas Walsh, and Ellen Walsh, daughter of Patrick Walsh, both of Ballykeoghan, were sponsors.^[1] Anastatia is listed as a witness on the marriage record of Catherine Day, likely a cousin, in 1894 in Templeorum, Kilkenny, and again on the marriage record of Bridget Connors in Piltown, Kilkenny, in 1895, suggesting that she had not immigrated to the United States at that point.^[2][3] She claims on the 1900 Census to have immigrated to the US in 1885^[4] and on the 1910 Census to have arrived in 1894.^[5]

She married David Healey at St. Philip's in Roxbury in October 1897 and she was living at 112 Northampton Street at the time of her marriage. Thomas Healy and Mary Kilroy were witnesses.^[6][7] Upon the birth of her first child, Anastasia, the family was living at 25 Silver Street in South Boston.^[8] As of 1900, she was keeping house with her family at 41 West Second Street in South Boston.^[9] Upon the birth of her daughter Nora in 1902 through 1914, the family was living at 334 West Second Street in Boston.^[10][11][12] As of 1915, he and his family were living at 215 Bolton Street in South Boston.^[13] As of 1915, she and her family were living at 215 Bolton Street in South Boston.^[14] As of 1920, she was living with her family at 13 Howe Avenue in Boston.^[15]

She passed away in 1935.^[16]
