Biography

John Butman was the son of John Butman and Sarah Robinson.

He married first Marcy [Mary] Giddings. She died on 25 October 1730 at age 23 yrs.

John [Butman. int.], of marriage to Marcy Giddings, Jan. 18, 1727-8 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. [1]

Death Record: Marcy [Mary. GR4], w. John, jr., Oct. 25, 1730, in her 23d y. [Oct. 24., a. 23 y. GR4 [2] We infer that she was born about 1707 from her age at death.

They had a daughter Elizabeth who died on July 10, 1729. Gloucester Death Records: Elizabeth, d. John and Marcy, July 10, 1729
