items from her father's will 7th It is my will & I so direct that in the final distribution of my estate the grand children of my daughter Nancy Ennis deceased (she having left an only son James Rumsey Ennis now living who is a lunatic & no provisions is herein made or intended to be made for him) be charged for advancements heretofore made their grandparents John Ennis & Nancy Ennis by me the sum of $4151.00 (four thousand one hundred and fifty one dollars).

8th It is my will and I so direct that the children of John W. Ennis deceased (my grandson) & the children of James Rumsey Ennis (a lunatic and grandson) represent and take one share or interest in my estate advancements considered but that the children of James Rumsey Ennis or the survivor of them there being two only have one hundred dollars from my estate to be paid to their guardian & the principal & interest to be applied wholly in paying for their tuition & the necessary proper clothing for them or the survivor whilst at or going to school the remainder of said share or interest it is my will & desire & I so direct be paid to the guardian or guardians of the children of my grand-son John W. Ennis deceased the principal & interest to be held, kept, & used for the sole & exclusive use & benefit of said last named & the survivors of them meaning & intending if any one of said children dies in infancy that his or her share or portion so dying shall pass, descend to his or her surviving brothers & sisters and that the mother shall not inherit from any of said last named children dying in infancy.

It is my will & I so direct that my executor herein after named proceed with prudent and reasonable care immediately after my death to collect what notes & debts I may have due to me at my death & with the proceeds of the same & with what money I may have on hand that he first make John Walter Butt & Eliza Potter (wife of Moses Potter) or her children in the event of her death & the grandchildren of my daughter Nancy Ennis in the way & manner as herein already shown & indicated equal to the advancements made made by me to Wilburn Moore & wife Mary Ann meaning & intending that my aforesaid devises shall be first made equal & I have given the respecting amounts with which they are severally to be charged & when they are made equal by & under the data I have myself herein given ( as well as the terms & restrictions) then the remainder is to be equally divided into four equal shares & held held for & paid over as herein already shown set forth & pointed out if however my cash on hand at my death & the proceeds of my cash notes or choses? in action should not be sufficient to make those who have been advanced the least equal to those who have been advanced the most then of course the funds arising from the sale of my land or any other estate that I have directed to be sold must be resorted to & applied to making the afsd. devises equal upon the terms herein prescribed or pointed out after the aforesaid devises are first made equal as aforesaid then the remaining fund is to be equally divided between them and as herein already pointed out meaning to be understood & intending to make the four branches of my family equal although I have made some differences in the descendants or grand children of my daughter Nancy Ennis.
