Biography

William Butt and Sarah England's sixth child and second son appears in the 1860 census as "Jasper" and in the 1870 census as "Allen J." (not Allen Y. as indicated in the transcription), so it is assumed that his name was Allen Jasper Butt. ^{[1] [2]}

He removed with his parents to Colorado and resided with his brother Alfred in 1880. ^[3]

Jasper passed away in 1887 and is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mancos, Colorado, 250 miles west of Huerfano County, where his parents and sister are buried. ^[4]

It is not known if he ever married or had children.
