In 1909, the licence for the Hawkesbury River Railway Hotel [1]was transferred to William Leslie Butters, a 22 year old who planned to operate the hotel with his parents. Robert Palmer had built this Hotel in 1900 and it operates today as The Anglers’ Rest.[2]
1913 William Leslie Butters is confirmed as a Fisheries Inspector.[3]
