Anna Mae Butts was born on June 16, 1893, in Millbrook, New York, her father, Jackson Butts (1867-1926) and her mother, Mary Augusta Butts. She married William Henry Heady on August 26, 1911, in Washington, New York. She died on February 16, 1971, in Kingston, New York and was buried in Valley View Cemetery, Dover Plains, Dutchess County, New York.
