Suesanna (that's the way she spelled her name) Buxton Rorie was the daughter of Andrew B. Buxton. In 1788, Suesanna married James Rorie in Meltonville, Anson County, North Carolina. They had the following children: William, Judah, Jemima, Sarah, Lydia, & Absalom. Sadly, Suesanna died at the early age of 33 giving birth to Absalom.
