Biography

Sara Buys, child of Jan Buys and Lysbet Groot, was baptized on 4 April 1703 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York.^[1]

She is said to have been born in Esopus, New York. (Esopus is an older name for Kingston.)

She married Isaac Lassing on October 12, 1720. They had two children during their marriage. She died in 1767 in Ontario, Canada, at the age of 64.^{[citation needed]}
