John was born in 16 Mar 1734 in Hanover County, Virginia. He was the son of James Byars and Peggy Gentry m [1]

Marriage

John Byars married Elizabeth Thomasson, daughter of George Thomason and Mary "Polly" Pollard, on 23 December 1754.[2] [3] They had six known children:

  1. Sarah (Byars) Cole
  2. John Byars Jr
  3. Fleming Byars
  4. Ann (Byars) Smith
  5. Jemima Byars
  6. William M Byars

Death

John passed away 21 Nov 1781 (aged 47) in Louisa County, Virginia. Non-Cemetery Burial. [4]
