Biography
John William Byers born 10 November 1853 in Shanghai, China ;the son of Rev John Byers, a Presbyterian missionary, and the educationalist Margaret Byers, founder and first Headmistress of Victoria College, Belfast. [1]
He married (10 September 1902) Fanny Reid of Belfast; they had three sons.
