Biography
John was born in 1836. He is the son of John Byram and Betty Broadbent.
In the 1841 England Census John Byram 40 born 1801 in Yorkshire, England, weaver of woolens, was head of his household in Upper Mill, Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England. Other Household Members, all born in Yorkshire, were his wife Betty Byram 39, spinner of woolens, and their children: James Byram 17, Sally Byram 15, Buckley Byram 10, Esther Byram 8, John Byram 5, Robert Byram 3, Betty Byram 7 Mo. [1]
In the 1851 England Census Betty Byram 49 born about 1802 in Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England, widow, woolen weaver, was head of her household in Dobcross, Yorkshire, England. Other Household Members, all born in Saddleworth, were her son James Byram 28 and his wife Edna Byram 24; and her other children: Salley Byram 25, Buckley Byram 20, Esther Byram 17, John Byram 15, Robert Byram 13, Betty Byram 10, Samuel Byram 8, and William Byram 11 Mo.
